Hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina, Golden Warrior Project Personnel Administrator 1LT Aristizabal is currently serving as the Executive Officer for the 812th Adjutant General Company, a reserve unit in Charlotte, NC. 1LT Aristizabal earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he also earned his commission from the UNCC 49er Battalion ROTC program as a proud Human Resources Officer. 1LT Aristizabal credits his success to his family’s continuous support while navigating college life as a first-generation college student. He has a genuine passion for serving others which led him to serve as president of the International City/County Management Association and membership in The National Communication Association while enrolled at UNCC. 1LT Aristizabal deployed as a postal platoon leader to Erbil Air Base (EAB), Iraq with the 82nd Airborne Division in support of Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR). In this capacity, 1LT Aristizabal led postal operations at EAB and postal mission support to the Eastern Syria Support Area (ESSA). Through the Golden Warrior Project, 1LT Aristizabal strives to equip and connect underrepresented minority individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to attain professional success in the Army Officer Corps.
